Sold in a one ring package, Kiszka or Kaszanka is the old fashioned sausage consisting of beef blood, barley and natural spices. It comes in natural casing in rings recognizable for its dark brown color. How to prepare Kiszka 1. Prepare a medium size saucepan, add a teaspoon of butter and chopped fresh onions, fry onions on a slow heat for couple minutes 2. Peel casing off Kiszka, slice into smaller pieces and add to onions. 3. Let Kiszka melt, move with a fork so it does not get burned. 4. Fry on slow heat for about 10 minutes stirring delicately. Keep frying a bit longer for crispy texture.

Amazing Flavor - truly authentic

The flavor is awesome. I was brought up on Kiszka from Bobak's in Chicago... this is the closest I've ever come to the original! It's not as black and it doesn't have as much barley -- the texture is more like corned beef hash and not as 'piecy'... the only thing I miss is the amount of barley. I prefer the texture and everything about it. It's our Easter Morning Breakfast staple!

Kiszka

Your delicious Kiszka arrived quickly and solidly frozen. We immediately defrosted one link for an informal supper and finished it this morning with home fries. It is as good as I remember Kiszka from my South Chicago roots. Will be looking forward to enjoying more of it in the near future. Will be trying more of your products, thank you!

Brings Back Memories

Originally from Bethlehem, PA & used to frequent the Allentown fairgrounds & the many local cultural food stores to enjoy those great European foods. This Polish Kiszka brought back those days so vividly. Living in southern Alabama, I'm thankful for the chance to taste & remember the past. Great product & shipping!

Kiszka !

I used to live in Chicago where great polish deli's abound. Now, I'm in Montana and all though there's all kinds of sausage here, there is no blood sausage of ANY kind. It took a while to find S&D but it was worth the time spent. This is top drawer Kiszka and I am a happy camper! Thank you S&D.

As good as Babci made

This is so good, it's not worth making yourself (and I don't remember how, anyway) I sprayed pan, added little olive oil, then cooked very low heat a very long time. Fantastic!

Kiszka

Very very good, but has a little more pepper than I'm accustomed to but no problem. Will cook with onions a little longer the next ring.

Authentic - High Quality

The Kiszka was just as I remember it growing up -- special occasions such as Christmas and Easter Breakfasts were always more special because of the Kiszka! THIS sausage did not disappoint. It was just as tasty as I remember. The consistency was perfect. THANKS!

Kiszka...with authentic flavor

When I moved from Philadelphia (where I had Polish food stores) to mid-state, there were no Polish delis in the area. Found you on the internet, and am awaiting my second order. Your version reminds me of what I had years ago. Great! I do like kiszka a bit spicier, so I add lots of black pepper, and, voila!, I'm in kiszka heaven. Don't stop making it!
